Hermandad de Honduras
Asocación Hermandad de Honduras (Hermandad) was set up in 1977 as a non-governmental organisation. Hermandad has been offering loans since 1980 to provide finance for accommodation and working capital in the agricultural sector. Apart from offering a variety of loan products, Hermandad also offers its loan clients the opportunity to open savings accounts. It also provides loans for the purchase of products that generate sustainable energy (including solar panels) and acitvely encourages organic agriculture. Hivos-Triodos Fund provided an initial loan to Hermandad to enable it to generate further growth.
