Walney

Renewable energy (Environment)

Walney is an Offshore Wind project of the coast of the UK. The wind farm is fully operational since June 2012 and has an installed capacity 367.0 MW, which makes it the largest offshore wind farm in Europe. The Walney offshore wind farm project is located approximately 15 km west of Barrow-in Furness in Cumbria and consists of with 102 3.6 MW turbines. This is a project from Ampère Equity Fund.

Renewable energy

Energy is a necessity in modern life but the current dependence on fossil fuels to provide it has a high environmental and social impact. We believe that a fundamental transition is needed away from a carbon based economy to a renewable one. By lending and investing in this sector we try to stimulate this transition, with our main focus on financing solar, wind and hydro energy.
