AccèsBanque
AccèsBanque Madagascar (ABM) opened its doors to the public in 2007, as Madagascar’s first microfinance bank. ABM first started its operations in the capital city of Antananarivo, but has further expanded its operations and expects to expand it network of branches. Its good basis in the capital city will enable the bank to progressiely expand to less accessible areas. There, the bank is looking to offer new credit products suitable for the agricultural sector. Triodos-Doen is among the founding shareholders of ABM and contributes in this way to the development of the microfinance sector in Madagascar. A senior Triodos Bank co-worker represents the fund on the Board of Directors. In addition, Triodos-Doen has provided a loan to ABM, in syndication with Triodos Microfinance Fund and Triodos Fair Share Fund.
