AfriCap Microfinance Investment Company (AfriCap) is an investment company that focuses on participations in the financial sector in Africa. Hivos-Triodos Fund has been involved with AfriCap as a shareholder since its inception in 2002. AfriCap has now invested almost all its investment funds in a portfolio accumulated in Ghana, Mozambique, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Niger, South Africa, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Cameroon, Malawi, Tanzania and Egypt.
