Stimulating national and international initiatives that bring positive change

The Triodos Foundation is our charitable arm, making donations to initiatives which complement Triodos Bank’s work and reflect the core values and priorities at the heart of our mission. The Foundation's aim is to stimulate national and international initiatives that instigate social renewal, especially in organic farming, development, the environment, sustainable energy, art and culture, education and health care.

Triodos Foundation receives donations in different ways, including from Triodos Bank savers who can appoint one of the special funds to benefit from some of their interest. Direct donations to these funds are also welcome.

How to apply

Triodos Foundation receives many more applications than it can respond to positively. The Foundation can only consider approaches from charities whose goals closely match those of Triodos Bank. As such only social, environmental and cultural projects that benefit the community as a whole are considered.

Applications should be made in writing, outlining the purpose of the project and providing any relevant supporting information. The Triodos Foundation Board meets on an ad hoc basis throughout the year to assess the applications and make decisions about specific grants. Unfortunately we are not able to reply to applications that are unsuccessful.
