Supporting a cause we believe in, when they need it most
Freshwinds is a fast-growing charity based in Birmingham. It provides valuable holistic healthcare and support for adults and children with life-limiting illnesses, and for individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds.
In early 2008, Freshwinds reviewed its banking needs and started looking for ways to fund its working capital requirements. Like many charities, Freshwinds rents its premises and does not own property to use as security for a loan. However, understanding the sector and sharing the charity’s values, we were happy to help finance its growth by providing a medium-term unsecured loan and working capital facility. And by working in partnership with people at Freshwinds, we’ve helped them not just maintain, but also improve and expand their range of projects and community-based initiatives.
