Who can open a Triodos Fixed Regular Saver Account?
If you’re over 16, want to save between £25 and £500 every month, and benefit from a fixed rate for one year, you can open a Triodos Fixed Regular Saver. Or if you want, you can open an account jointly with someone else. After one year, the account automatically switches to a Triodos Regular Saver account.
Interest and tax exemptions
The interest rate is fixed for one year from opening, after which the account becomes a Triodos Regular Saver account. Interest is taxable, but you may be eligible for exemption. You can apply for exemption by downloading the necessary forms from the HMRC website.
For UK residents, complete and return your application with form R85 Getting your interest without tax taken off .
For overseas residents, complete and return your application with form R105 Application for a not ordinarily resident saver to receive interest without tax taken off .
Withdrawals
You need to give 33 days' notice to withdraw money. If you make more than two withdrawals in a year the account will automatically switch to a Triodos Saver account.
