 Interest rates (AERs)
  • Interest rate is 2.50% gross/AER* including a fixed 1.50% introductory bonus for the first 12 months following account opening
  • Credit interest rate is 1.00% gross/AER*
  • Excess withdrawal rate is 0.10% gross/AER*  
  • Interest rate is variable
  • Interest is calculated daily and paid annually on 1 January
 Tax status  Interest is taxable
 Conditions for bonus payment
  • Bonus rate paid for first 12 months from account opening, after this the product reverts to the credit interest rate
  • Excess withdrawal rate will apply on the balance during (and after) bonus period in a calendar month where a withdrawal is made which exceeds the free annual withdrawal limit
 Withdrawal arrangements
  • This is an easy access account, no notice is required
  • There is no limit on withdrawals, but there is a limited number of three penalty-free withdrawals allowed per 12 month period, calculated from the date of account opening, and every anniversary of opening thereafter
  • Excess withdrawal rate will apply on the balance during (and after) bonus period in a calendar month where a withdrawal is made which exceeds the free annual withdrawal limit
