Triodos Microfinance Fund

The Triodos Microfinance Fund lends to, and makes equity investments in, microfinance institutions and banks across Africa, Latin America, Asia and Eastern Europe, with the aim of helping achieve sustainable social-economic development in developing countries and provide a financial return to investors.

Triodos Bank has been investing in the microfinance sector since 1994. Through the management of four funds, totalling almost €200m, the bank now lends to over 80 microfinance institutions (MFIs) in 40 countries, and has equity stakes in 19 MFIs.

We have already raised €30m for the Triodos Microfinance Fund from a number of institutional and high net worth investors.

This investment is only suitable for sophisticated and high net worth individual investors and institutions. The minimum investment amount is £50,000. Investors can buy and sell shares on a monthly basis. An annual return of 6-9% pa is expected – through a combination of dividends and increase in share price.

Any investment decision should only be made on the basis of the final memorandum and not on any information on this website.
