Due to our continued growth, our HR Team is expanding to support the business. We are pleased to be recruiting for an additional HR Advisor to join the team.

The HR Team work with all UK co-workers in every part of the employment lifecycle in delivering the HR strategy.  Reporting to the HR Operations Manager, this role will be responsible for delivering HR generalist activity, as well as managing HR projects and BAU HR activities.  The HR Advisor will deliver advice and guidance to all co-workers in line with Triodos policy, best practice and current employment law. The main areas of responsibility are to:

  • Partner with managers on short-/and some medium-term people planning and strategy, ensuring adherence to internal policy, employment law and current best practice
  • Work closely with specific departments, building strong relationships and a clear understanding of the objectives and challenges within the team, facilitating regular meetings with managers and having clear visibility within the department
  • Proactively offer opportunities to meet with co-workers, such as attending team meetings and arranging HR surgeries, providing appropriate levels of challenge and advice
  • Responsible for carrying out and recording exit interviews liaising with HR colleagues to review trends across the business
  • Responsible as subject matter expert for at least one HR specialism, such as compensation and benefits or performance and capability
  • Responsible for ensuring the payroll checking process is efficiently and accurately carried out in line with agreed timescales
  • Continuously challenge to ensure policies and processes are easy to understand and efficient
  • Responsible for strengthening working practices and processes around the delivery of HR services to maximise the effective use of data and produce meaningful management information and reports
  • Manage third party relationships in line with local vendor management processes
  • Be responsible for ensuring the branch complies with Group processes and reporting, where relevant

The HR Advisor is a credible and proactive HR professional with extensive best practice HR experience in providing employment law advice and case management, payroll, creating/updating HR policy and processes, and training.  They will have the ability to develop a clear understanding of the business operation holistically and a more in-depth understanding of some departments within the business. The ability to coach, challenge and develop all levels of co-worker in all elements of HR is essential. 

Excellent relationship building, and communication skills are required, alongside strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data.  Strong planning, prioritisation and time management skills coupled with a good eye for detail, a pragmatic approach to problem solving and the ability to deal positively when under pressure are also essential. You will be a role model for continuous learning and self-development. MCIPD or working towards MCIPD is desirable. 

You will have a genuine interest in people and the planet, and an affinity with Triodos values together with friendly persona and 'can do' attitude and a willingness to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in.
In return for your commitment and hard work, you will receive a competitive basic of between £30,000 to £35,000 depending on experience, plus a benefits package including:

  • Non-contributory pension scheme from your first day of 5% in year 1 and 10% from year 2 onwards
