Due to our growth and expansion, we are pleased to be recruiting for a Senior Relationship Manager within our Business Banking Team, who will also take accountability for our Small Lending Team (SLT).

The Senior Relationship Manager will manage relationships with potential borrowers and existing account customers. You will analyse potential investments and present them to the credit team for approval as well as monitor your portfolio, and that of the Small Lending Team, on an on-going basis.  Main areas of responsibility include:

  • To develop and execute a strategy for increasing the volume, diversity and profitability of the bank's Small Lending activity
  • Team leadership, line management and development of the Small Lending Team to achieve its objectives
  • Bringing new SME sustainable and ethical lending opportunities to the Bank (sub £500,000) which meet our risk, reward and impact criteria
  • Responsibility for managing an existing portfolio of SME customers
  • Organisation of the team to enable growth in this important area
  • To identify and implement process and product improvements which enhance efficiency and customer service 
  • To provide support and guidance for the SLT relationship managers
  • Generating new lending enquiries and present credit assessments to the Bank's UK credit team, in furtherance of the team objectives 
  • To actively promote Triodos Bank's lending, banking services and marketing events/ campaigns including involvement in impact hubs and similar networks
  • Being available to assist with pan sector activity within business and personal banking to re enforce our regional presence across the UK
  • To manage relationships (SLT portfolio) both in terms of credit risk and operational performance
  • To provide support and line management for relationship managers
  • Actively participate in team meetings and communications which may involve travelling within the UK and ad-hoc trips to Europe

To be successful in this role you will have considerable experience of a wide range of SME lending and credit processes including secured term lending and overdrafts, as well as a history of growing and managing an SME loan portfolio. You will possess the ability to prepare and present clear and concise credit proposals for sanction by Credit Risk. As this role will have responsibility for the Small Lending Team, having experience in line management, coaching, and development is desirable. In return for your commitment and hard work, you will receive a competitive basic of up to £55,000 depending on experience, plus a benefits package including:

  • Non-contributory pension scheme from your first day of 5% in year 1 and 10% from year 2 onwards
