Triodos Seminar at edie.Live Sustainability Exhibition

Philip Bazin to speak on building strong business cases for solar and wind projects at free event

22-05-2017 |

Triodos Bank environment team manager Philip Bazin will be speaking about financing renewable energy at this year's edie.Live conference which takes place in Birmingham on 23 and 24 May.

Philip will be one speaker in a seminar addressing the business case for solar and wind, discussing topics such as incentives, payback and energy security. The panel will also include Melanie Coath, senior policy officer at RSPB, and Ray Arrell, renewable energy engineer at South West Water, and will take place in the Energy Management Theatre at 12.45 on the second day of the exhibition.

Entitled 'Building a bankable business case for solar and wind in a post-subsidy world,' Philip's presentation will address issues around the viability of solar and onshore wind now that subsidy assistance has been removed. He will share insight on what this means for the 'bankability' of these projects and what new approaches banks should be taking to fund them.

edie.Live is an annual two-day exhibition and conference that brings together energy, sustainability and resource efficiency professionals from across the UK. The conference aims to connect industry leaders with the most recent and topical information they need to drive sustainability in their businesses and initiatives.
