How to invest in a more sustainable future, the tax-efficient way

Setting up a Triodos Ethical Stocks and Shares ISA is very straightforward. You can add investments to your ISA in the following ways:

  • by buying new shares in the Triodos Socially Responsible Investment funds to invest in the stocks and shares ISA;
  • by wrapping existing Triodos Socially Responsible Investment funds that you already own into it, or;
  • by transferring an ISA you hold with a different provider and using the subscriptions to buy shares in the Triodos Socially Responsible Investment funds.

To invest in our Ethical Stocks and Shares ISA, simply complete the Triodos Stocks and Shares ISA application form. There is no fee for opening an Ethical Stocks and Shares ISA however there is an initial charge of 3%* when purchasing new investments to wrap in it. Please note that as per HMRC regulations, the amount deducted from your investment for the initial charge, is classed as part of your subscription.

Opening a Triodos Ethical Stocks and Shares ISA allows you to invest in either one or both of our Socially Responsible Investment (SRI) Funds tax-efficiently. If you don’t already own the shares that you wish to wrap in your new Triodos Ethical Stocks and Shares ISA, please ensure you have read the following important information before starting your application to help you choose which of SRI funds to buy shares in:

If you choose to invest, click on the Invest in the Ethical Stocks and Shares ISA button below to download and complete an application form or request an application pack.

* Initial charge reduced from 3% to 1.5% until 30 December 2016.

The value of investments and the income derived from them may go down as well as up and you may not get back the amount originally invested. Past performance is not necessarily a guide to the future.

**Income tax is not payable on the interest or dividends you receive from an ISA and any profits from investments are free of Capital Gains Tax.  However, the benefit to you of the favourable tax treatment are based on your individual circumstances and tax advantages may change in the future.

***When investing in these funds currency risk arises because the investments made by the funds are denominated in US dollars, euros and other foreign currencies.  As the UK share classes are offered in sterling, when comparing returns for these share classes to those generated for the euro share classes offered to European investors, returns may be affected by currency fluctuations.
