The Triodos Microfinance fund is quoted in sterling, however when you purchase or sell, your sterling is converted from sterling into euros or back from euros into sterling.  Your total return is subject to the euro-sterling exchange rate. Dividends are converted from euros to sterling. You may be exposed to currency fluctuations in the regions in which the fund invests.

The Triodos Microfinance Fund is a collective investment scheme that offers investors the opportunity to actively contribute to the development of an inclusive financial sector in developing countries. Access to these services, ranging from loans and savings products to payment facilities and insurance, provides people with the opportunity to improve their living conditions.

The fund provides loans and equity to mostly unlisted microfinance institutions and banks in Asia, Africa and Latin America that demonstrate a sustainable approach towards providing financial services to underserved client groups. They have gone through the first phase of growth and are financially sustainable.

How does it trade

The Triodos Microfinance fund has a semi-open ended structure and is traded on a monthly basis at net asset value, allowing investors to buy and sell shares at the end of the month.

Investments made by the Triodos Microfinance Fund may be illiquid and there is no assurance that the liquidity of such investments will always be sufficient to meet redemption requests as and when they are made.
