How will you know a personal data rights request is genuine - are you going to check ID?

As the request is related to personal data, we will require proof of your identity to make sure that the request is valid.  We will use reasonable means to verify the identity of the person making the request.

For customers using internet banking a secure message would be sufficient to confirm that the request does come from you.

Where ID has been requested, please send a certified copy of your identification document. Should you send us a copy of your identification card or drivers licence, please make sure you send a copy of both sides. Details of acceptable identification documents are sent out with a request for ID.
