Why didn’t my savings rate increase at the same time as the Bank of England increased the base rate?

Our savings rates are not directly linked to the Bank of England Base Rate, and it is just one of a number of factors we must take into consideration when deciding what they should be. We need to take some time to ensure that all factors are carefully considered. These other factors include such things as what else is happening in the market, the impact on the sustainable and inspiring organisations we lend to and the costs of running Triodos Bank.

We will always pass on as much of the Bank of England base rate change as we can afford as quickly as possible.
