    North Camden Housing Co-op

North Camden Housing Co-op (NCHC) aims to provide good standard accommodation for people across the Camden area who are in need, and who have the desire and commitment to manage their own housing. When one of the co-operative’s buildings, Carlton Chapel House, was in need of substantial repairs, the organisation decided to refurbish the property to an extremely high standard. Finance from Triodos Bank supported NCHC to design the new building to the requirements of EnerPHit certification (the equivalent of Passivhaus standard for retrofit): it requires an extremely small amount of energy to heat, keeping bills low for tenants and ensuring the homes have minimal impact on the planet.
