The Opportunity:

We are delighted to be recruiting for a Senior Procurement Manager to join us at our Bristol Head Office. This is a full-time permanent role and offers the benefits of a flexible hybrid working. Typically, this would require 1-2 days in our Bristol office per week with a choice of working from home on the other days (following an initial induction period).

The Senior Procurement Manager is responsible for setting the strategy for Procurement and Vendor Management within TBUK encompassing Procurement, Contract Management, Supplier Performance Management, Supplier Relationship Management and Procurement best practice.

You will be responsible for the development, review, implementation and continuous improvement of relevant policies, training materials, procedures and processes, aligning with and influencing the Group Procurement function where appropriate.

You will lead the Procurement team who provide consultancy, mentoring and training to other co-workers in the Procurement community (e.g., Contract Managers, Contract Owners, Project Managers) and also provides suitable challenge to the business so that all activities achieve the level of service, savings and support required from Triodos Bank UK’s 3rd parties whilst meeting Triodos requirements for sustainability and fulfilling regulatory expectations from outsourced suppliers.

The Senior Procurement Manager is designated as a Certified Function within the Senior Managers and Certification Regime under the category “Significant Management” because the role as a direct report of a Senior Manager Function role in the UK has a high level of responsibility and autonomy of action within the authority delegated to it, which has the potential to cause “significant harm” to the firm or its customers.

What we are looking for:

To be successful in this role you’ll have extensive relevant experience working in the field of in procurement, vendor management, purchasing, contracting and defining procurement strategy and forward roadmaps.

You will be experienced in building and leading high-performing teams, driving functional maturity, and transforming ways of working within the procurement function.

You will be all to communicate effectively at all levels and will possess excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills combined with the ability to communicate complex issues and ideas in simple terms.

Membership of CIPS and/or evidence of equivalent qualifications and knowledge of UK banking regulator policies and guidance in the field would be an advantage for this role.

What we offer

In return for your hard work and expertise, you will receive a Full-time equivalent salary of between £65,000 -£73,000 depending on experience, plus access to our extensive benefits package, where most of our benefits are non-contributory.
