Depository Receipts (DRs) are a way to invest directly in Triodos Bank.
Between 2023 and 2025, the DR register was managed for us by an external provider called Captin. During that time, Triodos Bank UK customers needed to register with Captin if they wanted to sell their DRs.
This is still possible. Executors or beneficiaries can register with Captin and arrange a sale through them. We recommend contacting Captin first, as they can support the process and, where possible, this may help make the transfer more straightforward.
Since June 2025, DRs have also been listed on Euronext Amsterdam. This means DRs can also be sold through one of the approved brokers on Euronext Amsterdam.
DRs can only be transferred to a new holder in line with the Will. The new holder must register with Captin and complete their identity check before the DRs can be transferred into their name. Once the transfer is complete, the new holder can view their holding with Captin. They can then choose to keep or sell the DRs.
