As part of this partnership with Ethex, your account will be moved to their platform, very little will change day to day. If you've made investments, they will stay exactly as they are, with the same terms and organisations. The only difference is that you’ll log in to Ethex to view and manage them. You’ll also find future Triodos investment opportunities there, alongside Ethex’s own offers.
Transfer to Ethex
If you've made an investment, or at least fully registered on the Triodos crowdfunding platform, then on 8 September 2026, your Triodos Crowdfunding Account will be transferred to Ethex. If you've partially registered and agreed to marketing permissions, you will be invited by Ethex to register on their platform.
Your investments
Any investments you hold will remain the same. After transfer your investments will be visible on your Ethex account. Any payments due to you (interest payments, capital repayments) will be made in the usual way to your Ethex wallet.
Your wallet balance
Any money in your wallet will transfer to your Ethex account.
Your Innovative Finance ISA (IFISA)
If you have one, your Innovative Finance ISA (IFISA) holdings and subscription information will be transferred to Ethex, including any replaceable amounts, and your tax-free status will remain intact. ShareIn Ltd, Argyle House, 3 Lady Lawson Street, Edinburgh, EH3 9DR is the manager of the Ethex IFISA.
If you only hold cash in your IFISA (and no investments), you can choose to transfer your IFISA to another provider instead. We'll need to receive your transfer instructions from your new provider before 18 August 2026 to allow enough time to process your request. If you hold investments in your IFISA, your Triodos IFISA will transfer to Ethex. Once your IFISA has transferred to Ethex, ShareIn Ltd will be the manager. If you only hold cash in your IFISA and choose to opt out of the IFISA transfer to Ethex and we do not receive the transfer request from your new provider in time, the cash will lose its ISA status.
Following this announcement we will no longer be accepting IFISA transfer ins.
Any other Triodos accounts you have
If you have other products with Triodos, such as a personal current account, impact investments or savings, these will remain with Triodos. Our day-to-day personal and business banking services are not affected. This change only relates to crowdfunding and IFISAs.
