Leeds Buddhist Vihara was set up to meet the religious and spiritual needs of the Buddhist Community in the North of England. It strives to advance Buddhism in the North of England and give opportunities to those in need to engage in meditation and mindfulness in addition to practicing Buddhism. 

The organisation hosts sermons, dhamma discussions, meditation sessions, prayer ceremonies and teaches children about Buddhism. The monks provide free religious counselling sessions to anyone in the community who may need assistance and have an open-door policy where community members can study, meditate, and speak with the monks.
