Sea Lanes was formed by a group of local businesses and open water swimming enthusiasts to encourage people to enjoy sea swimming and live healthier lives. The organisation is working to build an open water swimming centre for swimmers at all levels, aiming to increase participation by overcoming accessibility barriers. A thriving community will exist at the Brighton site, offering a range of social and environmental benefits, as the scheme is designed with a sustainable approach. The site will have an additional 22 carbon neutral buildings of sport, leisure, and hospitality enterprises. There will be numerous commercial elements of the site with trading units including a bar, kitchen, coffee shop and retail outlets.
