The Opportunity:We’re excited to be recruiting for our next Risk & Audit interns. This is a 13-month placement scheme running from the beginning of August 2026 until the end of August 2027. The Risk and Audit internship at Triodos has run for five years and has been a huge success.
As a Risk & Audit intern, you will rotate between the Triodos UK Internal Audit and Risk teams, supporting department objectives while bringing your own knowledge and perspective to the role. You’ll work with other TBUK departments to maximise efficiency and collaboration, and you’ll have the opportunity to partner with other interns on projects that directly benefit the business and support your own personal development.
Key responsibilities include:Risk:
- Providing support on aspects of Operational Risk Management, Compliance Risk Management (including project work and monitoring), Credit Risk, Enterprise Risk, and risk reporting for TBUK, with exposure to Group requirements, structures, and policies
- Attending internal committees, forums, and workshops, representing the team
- Working with business units across the bank on a range of risk issues and programmes
- Owning and delivering agreed tasks within deadlines
Audit:
- Supporting the delivery of the Internal Audit plan for TBUK and Triodos Bank
- Working with Group Internal Audit on professional practice updates and continuous improvement projects, as required
- Bringing your perspective to both internal audits and audit methodology
- Owning and delivering agreed tasks within deadlines
General responsibilities:
- Collaborating with other interns from across the bank on assigned project work to support your development
- Providing feedback and insights on policies and processes, with a mindset of continuous improvement
- Complying with all regulatory obligations and internal governance to ensure ethical behaviour and fair outcomes for TBUK customers
What we are looking for:This role is suitable for a placement student interested in a career path within Risk and Audit. You should possess excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, and the ability to work confidently and effectively with internal teams and external partners. Strong communication and analytical skills, along with a good working knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel, are essential. We value diverse thinkers with an adaptable and flexible approach, and a genuine interest in positive social and environmental change.
Experience in report writing, presenting, or in a customer- or public-facing role is desirable, but not essential.

What we offer
