Triodos Bank appoints new relationship manager for Scotland

27-04-2015 | Triodos Bank today announces the appointment of Michelle Wilson as relationship manager in Scotland, increasing the breadth and depth of the Edinburgh-based lending team.  In her new role Michelle will be working with Scottish sustainable tourism organisations and sustainable trading businesses such as cafes, whole salers and food producers and organic farms.

Triodos Bank only finances enterprises which deliver social, environmental and cultural benefits, and actively supports markets including social housing,  renewable energy such as hydro and onshore wind,  arts and culture and social enterprise.

Wilson has 10 years' experience as a relationship manager at Bank of Scotland and has always worked in commercial lending. As a relationship manager she's specialised in trading businesses and managed a portfolio of 250 clients spread throughout Central Scotland.

Michelle commented: "For me banking is all about relationship banking. I really try to bridge the gap between businesses and banking. So often banks are perceived as something scary but it doesn't need to be like that. I'm delighted to work for an organisation whoes values I share."

The appointment of Michelle coincides with the official opening of a new office in Frederick Street in Edinburgh.  The new office will provide a long-term base for Triodos Bank's business banking activities in Scotland and supports the bank's continued commitment to help build the country's thriving social, environmental and cultural sectors.
