Triodos Bank to speak at the Seed Festival, July 7-9

Head of finance and risk, Kit Beazley, to discuss how the power of money can create a better world

Kit Beazley, Triodos UK's finance director, will be discussing how 'Money can help good things grow' at the third annual Seed Festival which takes place from 7-9 July.

Held annually at Hawkwood College in Stroud, the event provides the opportunity to enjoy talks, workshops, films, music and camping - all designed to inspire a deeper connection with the living world.

Speaking on Sunday at 12 noon, Kit will discuss how our personal banking and investment choices can help address some of society's most pressing problems, build local communities and promote environmental, cultural and social wellbeing.

The session, entitled 'Seeds in your wallet: how money can help create a better world', will draw on Kit's 25 years' experience in financial services and his active role in using money to create positive change.

Set at Hawkwood College-a beautiful setting complete with biodynamic farm, country house, natural spring and woodlands-the festival will bring together thinkers, activists, artists and many others involved in the green movement.

Speakers include:

  • Caroline Lucas, Green Party Co-leader;
  • Polly Higgins, international lawyer;
  • Craig Bennett, CEO of Friends of the Earth;
  • Helen Browning, CEO of the Soil Association;
  • Rob Hopkins, founder of the Transition movement;
  • Satish Kumar, peace and environment activist.
