Socially Responsible Investment
Help create a future where everyone profits
At Triodos Bank we’re showing people that banks can be different - making money work for social, environmental and cultural change.
Our range of Socially Responsible Investment (SRI) Funds give you the opportunity to decide between investing in either a fund focused on large listed companies, or smaller pioneering companies.
How do Socially Responsible Investments work?
Socially Responsible Investment (SRI) means investing in companies using strict criteria on environmental, social and governance issues, along with financial analysis with the aim of stimulating change in society.
At the heart of our SRI philosophy and strategy lies the belief that in the long term the most successful businesses will be those that achieve the right balance between their social, environmental and economic performance.
Making sustainability pay
We know financial gains will also be an important factor for you when considering your investment opportunities. Whilst we can’t guarantee future performance and past performance is not a guide to future returns, we’re pleased to say that, since they launched in April 2013, the Triodos Sustainable Pioneer and Equity Funds have delivered returns of 37.1% and 25.4% respectively*.
Invest in a sustainable future.
*Figures show the increase in the net asset value for period 22/04/2013 (launch date) to 30/09/2015 for the Triodos Sustainable Equity Fund KR-cap share class and the Triodos Sustainable Pioneer Fund KR-cap share class.
**Income tax is not payable on the interest or dividends you receive from an ISA and any profits from investments are free of Capital Gains Tax. However, the benefit to you of the favourable tax treatment for ISAs depends on your individual circumstances and may vary in the future.

Investing in these funds is not the same as depositing money in a bank savings account as your capital is at risk and you may not get back the full amount that you invested. The value of investments and the income derived from them may go down as well as up. Investment in the underlying investment instrument is intended to be for the long term and income from your investment may fluctuate.
Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results.
Investing in the funds on offer from the UK branch of Triodos Bank NV is available only to UK residents. When investing in these funds currency risk arises because the investments made by the funds are denominated in US dollars, euro and other foreign currencies. In principle the fund does not hedge the currency risk of these investments. As the UK share classes are offered in sterling, when comparing returns for these share classes to those generated for the euro share classes offered to European investors, returns will be affected by currency fluctuations between sterling and the euro.
