For foreign payments to a Triodos account the above sort code is not valid. Also mandatory information is needed to ensure a foreign payment reaches your account.
There are several ways to log in depending on what type of account you have.
Start by going to our website www.triodos.co.uk and in the top right-hand corner you'll see a link for "Log in" to Internet Banking.
If you’re a Personal Savings or Investments customer, you will only need your username and password.
If you’re a Current Account customer you will need your digipass (the green pin pad), the PIN to your digipass (which you set yourself), and details regarding the security word you set up when applying for the account. We've produced a short online video to show you how to set up your digipass and activate your online banking. Watch the video on YouTube now.
Alternatively, if you have access to the Triodos Mobile Banking App, you can log into Internet Banking using your QR code reader. You can find more information on how this works here.
Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HMRC) ISA rules require you to make a declaration, when applying to open an ISA. This is to confirm that you are eligible to subscribe to your ISA.
If you haven't subscribed to your ISA for a whole tax year, then you need to declare your eligibility again and confirm that you haven't paid into another ISA of the same type in the current tax year. You will not be able to make any further deposits into your ISA until a new declaration is made.
If you have Triodos Internet Banking, you can complete a new declaration online. To do this, please log in to Internet Banking and go back to old Internet Banking via the green ‘Go to old Internet Banking’ button. Select 'Account Management, ISA Declaration Management', from the menu.
Alternatively you can download, print and complete a declaration form below, or you can contact us and we can post a declaration form to you.
Junior ISAs and Fixed Rate Cash ISAs do not need a new declaration to be made after the account is opened.
To see what consents are active on your account, log into Internet Banking and go to ‘Account Profile’ and then ‘Open Banking Consents’. If you use our mobile app you can find this under ‘More’, ‘Preferences and privacy’.
If you wish to change the details of your nominated account, you must send us a signed, written instruction by post to:

In 2010, the United States (US) Treasury announced the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA). It is intended to prevent tax evasion by US citizens, residents and organisations through the use of offshore accounts and is a key change for international information exchange policy. Under FATCA, Financial Institutions must comply with a number of obligations, including reporting on accounts held by US persons, including organisations.
A number of governments, including the UK, have signed agreements to exchange data with the US. Triodos Bank must check customer records and accounts to identify US account holders and report information on them. To do this we introduced new procedures from 1 July 2014.
For more information please visit www.irs.gov or speak to your tax advisor.
If for any reason you need to withdraw your money earlier than the notice period, you will need to write to us by post or secure message in internet banking.
At our discretion you may have access to your savings without waiting the notice period for 90 Day Notice Online Cash ISA and Cash ISA. However we will charge you the interest due on the amount withdrawn for the part of your notice period for which you have not given notice. So if you withdraw £500 on 15 Calendar Days’ notice from an Account set up on 90 Calendar Days’ notice, then a charge equivalent to the interest you would have earned on that £500 for 75 Calendar Days (i.e. 90 - 15) will be deducted from your Account.
For Fixed Rate ISAs withdrawals are not allowed until maturity. The only exception to this is if you close the account and/or transfer the full balance to another ISA. Early closure will result in an early access charge being applied equivalent to a number of days of interest.
2 year term – 180 days’ interest
3 year term – 270 days’ interest
The charge will be taken from the account balance, so you may get back less than originally deposited.
Instructions given in internet banking to make a payment from your account will only be carried out after the expiry of any notice period on your account. Any attempt to schedule a payment before then will be rejected.

We ask you to complete an ISA declaration when making a choice for your maturing fixed rate cash ISA in Internet Banking so that you are able to make current tax year’s subscriptions to your ISA if you would like to.
You are not obliged to subscribe to that cash ISA after completing the declaration and can choose to subscribe to a different ISA if you want and you are eligible to do so (as long as you don’t breach the ISA rule of only subscribing to one of each type of ISA in a tax year).
No, you can only open or hold one account (joint or sole) in any 12 month period.

Once you have opened your Triodos Fixed Rate Cash ISA, you have 60 days in which to deposit as much of your ISA allowance as you want to. You can only subscribe to one cash ISA per tax year. If you do not deposit your full allowance in your Fixed Rate Cash ISA you can invest the remainder in any combination of the rest of the permitted ISA types, providing you only subscribe to one of each type in a tax year. You will therefore not be able to subscribe to any other cash ISA in the same tax year as you open your Triodos Fixed Rate Cash ISA.
