The funding will support Park Blue Homes’ acquisition of Flourish, a children’s residential care provider operating across the Midlands and South West, alongside the refinancing of existing facilities and future investment in care home properties.
Park Blue Homes currently operates 13 homes for children and young peoplewith emotional and behavioural difficulties, learning disabilities and other complex care needs. This acquisition will see them grow to 23 homes, significantly increasing the number of children and young people they can support.
The organisation has built a reputation for delivering therapeutic, trauma-informed care through small, family-style residential homes. It operates across the North East, South Yorkshire & South West, working closely with local authorities to provide stable, nurturing environments where children can recover from trauma, build resilience and thrive.
Park Blue’s approach underpins all staff training and care delivery, focusing on attachment, trauma-informed support and holistic development. The organisation employs its own therapists and psychologists and provides specialist programmes including outdoor activities and equine-assisted therapy.
The organisation has also embedded sustainability across its operations, including investment in solar energy, biomass heating systems, and plans for highly energy-efficient future developments.
Richard Parker, CEO of Park Blue Group, said: "Every child deserves the opportunity to grow up in a safe, stable and nurturing environment. This investment will help us extend our therapeutic model of care to more children who need specialist support, while remaining true to the family values and child-centred approach that have shaped Park Blue since the beginning. Flourish shares our commitment to quality and positive outcomes, making this a natural next step in our growth."
Mark Lawson, senior relationship manager at Triodos Bank UK, added: "Access to safe, high-quality care is essential for children and young people who have experienced significant challenges in their lives. Park Blue Homes has developed a strong reputation for creating environments where children can thrive. We're pleased to support the organisation's next stage of growth and the positive impact it will have for children, families and communities."
