What you can do if you are an existing cash ISA customer at Triodos Bank
Changing the type of cash ISA held with Triodos Bank
To change the type of cash ISA you currently have with us please complete and send us a Triodos Cash ISA account type change request form. Changes are not permitted from Triodos Fixed Rate Cash ISAs or Triodos Ethical Junior Cash ISAs and you cannot change to and from the same type of cash ISA.
Moving money between your existing Triodos cash ISAs
If you want to move funds between your existing Triodos cash ISAs you must complete and return a Transfer authority form between existing Triodos ISAs . Following this ISA transfer process will maintain the money’s current tax free status and not affect your subscription allowance. We will carry out the transfer for you and let you know when it is complete. You cannot do it yourself through internet banking.
Transfers are not allowed between the same type of Triodos cash ISA and you can only transfer into a Triodos Fixed Rate Cash ISA for 60 days from the date you opened it.
Specific rules apply to transfers to a Junior cash ISA – see the Triodos Ethical Junior Cash ISA product page for details.
For transfers to your Triodos Ethical Stocks and Shares ISA, you will need to complete a Transfer authority form between existing Triodos ISAs. For full details of what you can do if you are an existing Ethical Stocks and Shares ISA holder, click here .
Transfer into your Triodos cash ISA from an ISA you hold with another provider
If you already hold a cash ISA with Triodos Bank and want to transfer subscriptions from a cash or stocks and shares ISA you have with another provider into it, all you need to do is complete and send us an ISA transfer authority form from another provider to a Triodos cash ISA. In the form you must include the account information of the cash ISA held with Triodos Bank that you want to transfer the funds to.
Had a (tax) year off?
If you haven’t paid into your Triodos cash ISA in the previous tax year and want to start subscribing again, HMRC requires that you complete a declaration to reconfirm your eligibility.
If you have Internet Banking you can complete a declaration online. Log into your Internet Banking and select Account Management and then ISA Declaration Management from the menu.
