Check that you're eligible
We will be able to accept your application if:
- You are a UK based organisation
- You have a minimum deposit of £50,000 if you're a new customer, or £10,000 if you already have another Triodos business account.
- You meet our business accounts eligibility criteria
Log into Internet Banking or complete an application form.
Existing Customers
If you already have a business account with us and have an appointed Account Administrator, they can apply for a new Business and Charity Deposit Account in Internet Banking. This provides a faster and simpler way to open a new Business and Charity Deposit account without completing the full website application form. They just need to log in and click 'Open new account'.
New Customers
Choose Apply above and fill in our online application form. First, answer a few short questions to check that you meet the basic eligibility criteria. If you do, you can continue with the form. We recommend setting aside 45–60 minutes to complete the full process.

Interest rates are variable.
Interest is calculated daily and paid quarterly on balances of £1,000 and over.

Can Triodos Bank change the interest rate?

Yes – the interest rate is variable and can therefore change at any time. Please refer to section 3.5 of our Terms and Conditions for businesses and charities.

At least 14 days’ notice in writing will be given of any reduction to the interest rate on the 33 and 90 day notice versions of this account.

At least 60 days’ notice in writing will be given of any reduction to the interest rate on the Easy Access version of this account.

This estimate is based on either £1,000, £5,000, £25,000, £100,000, or £250,000 being deposited at account opening, no further deposits or withdrawals being made and interest being added to the account quarterly. This projection is for illustrative purposes only and does not take into account your business’ circumstances.

How do I open and manage my account?

If you are a new customer, click Apply above and complete our application form.
If you already have a business account with us and have an appointed Account Administrator, they can apply for a new Business and Charity Deposit Account in Internet Banking. They just need to log in and click 'Open new account'.
A minimum opening balance of £50,000 is required for new business customers, or £10,000 if you're an existing customer.
The minimum balance for interest being paid is £1,000.
There is no maximum balance.
The account can be managed online or by post.

Can I withdraw my money?

Yes, withdrawals can be made subject to the relevant notice period applicable to the account. There is a choice of notice periods available to choose from at account opening: Easy Access, 33 days’ or 90 days’ notice.
There is no limit on withdrawals.
Withdrawals can be made online or by post.
Closure is allowed at any time.

*The gross rate is the rate payable without any tax taken off. Credit interest on all our accounts is paid gross. **AER shows what the interest rate would be if interest was paid and compounded once each year.
