Steps to stay secure

This section explains how to keep your account safe from fraud.

What can you do?

Do not share your security details with anyone, including your internet banking login details, card number and PIN.

If you call us we will ask you for your account number and full security word as part of the verification of your identity. In addition, if you call us about logging into internet banking we will ask for your digipass number, we will never ask you for your digipass PIN. Neither Triodos Bank, nor the police, will ever ask for any of your other security details, or your card number and PIN.

Take 5. If you have a call, email or text message claiming to be from Triodos Bank, take a moment to think about if it's a genuine request. You can check our website for details of how to contact us securely as well as details of our genuine telephone numbers and email addresses. If we call you we will always give you the option to call us back on our published telephone number if you are unsure whether it us who has called you.

Keep up to date with advice from organisations such as Financial Fraud Action UK’s Take Five campaign.

Keep anti-virus software up to date on the devices you use to access your account.

Make sure to check your account regularly for transactions you do not recognise.

More detail on internet banking security can be found here.

Keep your contact details up to date. If you change your phone number, address or email address, please ensure that you amend your details in internet banking. For full details, see the Personal details and account changes page.
